Joining the Watson Spence practice in September of 2009, Alfreda Sheppard has contributed many hours to her practice specialty, civil litigation. She has been admitted to the Georgia and Tennessee State Bar Associations and is licensed to practice in both states.
Alfreda received her Bachelor’s degree in English from Fort Valley State University in 1999 and her Master’s degree in Public Administration in 2001 from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. She then went on to receive her J.D. in 2005 from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in Lansing, Michigan. Here she competed regionally and placed as a top ten Moot Court litigant and was an active member of Phi Delta Phi. She worked as a defense attorney from 2006 to 2009 for The Georgia Office of Public Defenders before accepting her position at Watson Spence.
Alfreda is a member of the Dougherty County Circuit Bar Association, a member of the Albany-Dougherty Area Young Lawyer Division and an active participant in the Chamber of Commerce Emerge Albany group for young professionals. Alfreda serves as a Board member for the Flint River Habitat for Humanity as well as Easter Seals Southern Georgia. Alfreda and her husband, Dwight, have one son and attend New Birth Fellowship Church in Albany. |
